                                          Tennis! This is the fastest-rising sport
                                  in athletic ability here at Ralston. Last year
                                  this team was full of  young and inexperienced
                                  sophomores. They had a  disappointing season,
                                  but coming into this year, they had worked
                                  hard over the summer. Returning into this year
                                  the team had high hopes for the season. Seth
                                  Peters. Ross Passmore. M atthew Diederich.
                                  Thomas Handleman. and Brandon Broschat car­
                                  ried the team through adversity and all their
                                  big wins over class A schools. Even though
                                  they had a disappointing draw in state, they
                                  still finished the season on a strong note. On

     How did the team,  everyone,  or yourself improve from last season?
     Brenden  Knott-We  went from a 28%   win percentage to a 64%  win percentage.
     What were your goals fo r this year,  and did you complete them?
     Brandon Broschat-My goal was to get ten singles wins and make state.  I got
    fifteen singles wins and just missed making state.  I got fourth in districts,  the
     top three go.
     Entering  the off-season  what are your goals for next year?
     Brandon Broschat-  To improve and become a more complete player.  Work on
     getting a consistantly hard serve and stronger groundstrokes.
