MELINDA DOROTHEA FISCHER
Dean Min,
Hi, how are ya? I was missing you and feeling a little homesick, so I decided to thumb through your
senior yearbook. It brought back some great memories. I can’t believe I have not seen you since summer.
By the way, how’s Clark, and is the engagement still on? How many times have you two broken up since
the last time we talked? If things are still the same, it’s probably once every other day. Well on to other
past trivia (Definition: little things that happened in the past.) I know, you have trouble with big vocab.
words.
Before I forget, I ran into your brother Ted. He told me that you were elected captain of the softball
team. Not that I doubted it, seeing that you were captain of the soccer, basketball and softball teams in
your senior year at M.B.
Speaking of your senior year, I can’t believe you are now a senior in college. I have to admit I had my
doubts after hearing you preach day after day about getting married, having six kids (5 boys and 1 girl)
and opening Mindy’s House of Beauty when you turned 18 years old. Thank God you got a grip (on life
that is) and decided to “ pursue your education” (so to speak) and be a sports trainer. I was drinking
champagne the other day and as always it reminded me of the time when we almost couldn’t have cham- j
pagne. But those were the good old days (ha, ha)! Well, gotta go play tennis. Love ya and miss ya!
Luv always \

THOMAS DOUGLAS GAMMINO, JR.
Tom came to Moses Brown in the ninth grade and quickly established himself as a leading member of
the class of ’84. Respected by his teachers and peers as an insightful scholar, he maintained a strong
honors average while pursuing an interest in the classical world. Taking his talents to the athletic field,
Tom ran cross-country and winter track very successfully, and was a solid midfielder on the lacrosse
team for two years. Undoubtedly, Tom’s greatest source of activity lies in the social world, as he can
always be found on the weekends at the heart of a group of people. Originally displaying this charisma in
a Stowe movie theater, “ Lefty” subsequently moved up to more demanding ranks of the Bat Team, the
F-35 club, and J.P.’s cabana. Making his list and checking it twice, Tom also got rid of his tendency to
fall asleep and settled in with the right woman. Tom is at his social height during the summers in
Gansett as D.S.B. leaves his vocabulary and a patriotic lifestyle both present and future; while
upholding a strict series of goals, he nonetheless engages in the most avid forms of hedonism.
