From world civilizations to
American history to global
insights, the Social Studies
Department offered a multi
tudinous array of subjects to
satisfy each student's in
dividual curiosity about his

Many students opted for U.S.
History A.P. or Modern Eur
opean History, courses to
provide a stimulating challenge
for the young intellect. Lourdes
Cowgill, an A.P. U.S. History
student, commented, "This is
one of the most interesting
courses I've ever taken. Mr.
Barber really makes his lectures
exciting. I sometimes feel as
though I’m actually reliving the
Civil War or Watergate, or any
historical event.”
While lecturing his A.P. U.S. History
students, Mr. Amzi Barber brings to life
the bloody Battle of Antietam.
During her social studies class, Marta
Aguilar pays close attention to the
explanation of the United States judicial
system.
As geography is a very important
aspect of history, Sam Topp points
out the location of Paraguay to
classmates Joel Gegerson, Richard
Ramnath, and Christine Busto.
