Throughout their school lives,
students found many opportunities
to both work and relax, from
enjoying the Homecoming Dance to
participating in such productions as
the annual Christmas concert,
Gramercy Ghost, and Showboat.
Seniors ........... 78
Through its work in the fields
of academics, athletics, and ex­
tracurricular activities, the Class of
1985 excelled in all facets of school
life. With fourteen National Merit
Semifinalists, seniors showed the
result of hard work.
Groups ......... 124
Myriads of clubs and organiza­
tions existed to provide outlets for
each student’s talents and special
interests. Each group furnished a
distinct opportunity for students to
work in a specific extracurricular
activity.

Faculty, administration, and
staff, kept the school running as it

supervision, and maintenance.
Sports ............ 38
With over fifty athletic teams
to choose from, students had many
options in physical competition.
Because of hard work in afternoon
practices, many of these teams
achieved their goals of success.
Underclass ..... 96
The foundation of any second­
ary school, underclassmen consti­
tuted the vast majority of students.
From seventh through eleventh
grades, underclassmen showed
that they don’t need to be seniors
to work hard.
Academics .... 148
Academics, certainly, is the
primary reason for the existence of
a school. Formal learning demand­
ed perhaps more time and effort
than any other facet of school life.
Between homework and exams,
academics made working overtime
a reality.
