                                        he  vocational  classes  at  South
                                        range  from  automotives,  wood
                                        working and metals, to electron­
                                        ics  and  architectural  drafting.
                             T Each  teaches  the  student  a  skill
                            that can be pursued for a career, or used as
                            a hobby. Often, the classes work on projects
                            which  have a  practical  value.  For  example,
                            the  metals  department  makes  computer
                            tables  for  schools  nearby  as  well  as  for
                            South.
                                 The  drafting  classes  design  and  build
                             model  homes  which  are  displayed  at  the
                             Home Show each year. Automotives classes
                             learn  to repair and  refinish  cars.  Some cars
                            are left by people for the students to repair
                            and  repaint.
