STUDENT
LIFE
No single word can describe student life here at Allentown College.
Many students here at AC lead diverse lives. Nursing students must
travel to various area hospitals for clinical, athletes take morning classes
in order to make practice in the afternoon and members of various
organizations must arrange their schedules in order to make important
meetings.
However, in order to give our readers a general idea of what the
tgpical student may do on a typical day, we have provided a little
scenario depicting what mag occur.
A typical dag for an AC student consists of rolling out of bed in a pair
of boxer shorts and a tee-shirt, throwing on a sweatshirt (reversed, of
course) and walking what seems like a mile to Dooling Hall. Here, the
student participates in various classes ranging from microbiology, to
English literature to geo-politics.
Alter classes, the student trudges another mile to McShea Center to
dine at the exquisite Cafe McShea. However, upon arrival he discovers
that he has lost his ID, so it’s off to see Barb Young for a temporary.
Upon concluding a wonderful meal, our tgpical student travels back to
Dooling for get another intriguing hour of learning.
Late afternoon involves catching a few of the soaps and relaxing until
<1:30 at which time he will travel back to Cafe McShea only to discover
that hot dogs (a.k.a. grilled franks or boiled frankfurters) are on the
menu once again.
As evening approaches, the student will find himself at the newly
erected Trexler Library or at the Computer Room fighting for access to a
terminal. U/hen 11:00 rolls around, it is time to go back to the dorms.
However, this does not mean bedtime; this means it is time to run to The
Coopersburg Diner for some real food.
Sleep comes around 1:00 or Z:00 in the morning after all the gossip
has been exhausted and the Love Connection goes off the air.
Jim Ferris, Colleen Jordan and Stacie Brooks ham it up!
The next dag follows in much the same fashion; however if he is lucky,
he may find that pierogies are being served at lunch.
