It had it all: from jokes, to music, and even cheerleaders...? Hosted by
Mrs. Rowley and Mr. Miller, the Mr. RHS contest was an event not to be
missed. This event created a sense of class comradery and entertained
students and parents with a competition meant to make you laugh. Though
who could forget boys in cheerleader costumes, amazing raps, and best of
all, Spongebob?
What was the key to Mr.RHS's success? Lots and lots of practice.
Countless hours over three weeks were put into practicing contestant Ryan
McAleer's skits to get them just right. “It was really hard work getting it
all together and writing the skits. ” said the winner. He was dedicated to
giving his all and doing the best he could. Mrs.Rowley contributed to the
Square Up
Senior Andrew Stone fighting off a bear evolution for his skits, along with seniors Shaelyn Crowley and Skyler
for one of his skits. Curtis. These ladies gave McAleer tips about his performances, made the
soundtrack, provided uniforms, as well as created the dances.
Being involved with many extracurricular activities at Ralston High
School, McAleer was a perfect candidate for the competition. But so were
his competitors. “There was not much competition, but I would have to
say Curtis Grosse,” said McAleer when asked who was his biggest
competitor. Who could compete with a full-on dance routine? Every one
of the contestants did an immense job showcasing their talents and why
they should have been Mr.RHS at the end of the competition.
