Upper School
Quinton
You see her every morning as you walk
through the doors of the 101 entrance. With
a contagious smile and a friendly uHey, mon”
she welcomes you to school; maybe today
won’t be so terrible, after all. Yet it’s more
than just her crazy braids and Jamaican
attitude that make Jackie Quinton such a
magnificent presence in our school. She is a
lively, caring woman who showers us with her
warmth and generosity every day.
Jackie provides friendship and stability to the incoming freshmen, and
maintains those relationships for the next three years. It seems virtually
impossible to know every face in the Upper School, but somehow Jackie
does. Besides our names, she also knows so many of our stories and secrets
that she is practically a gold mine for school gossip. But she’ll never tell,
“No, mon!” For those students who have a hard time keeping track of their
books, sports uniforms and calculators, Jackie’s supernatural ability to find
almost anything makes her indispensable. Without her, many a disheveled
athlete would have to play without a mitt, a stick, or even a jersey.
Just knowing that she is at school, watching over us, makes us feel safe.
We would like to thank Jackie for her humor, for her sparkling personality,
and most of all for her unconditional support. The Trinity Upper School
without Jackie would be like reggae music without the beat. For all of
these reasons, the class of 2004 dedicates the Bruner to Ms. Jackie
Quinton.
