In our
world we have become
increasingly skeptical. We must see
something before we believe it exists. In an age
where information is just a mouse-click away, we have
ceased to believe in things we cannot see. Thus, having faith
in someone or something has become a foreign concept to many
people. But as Christians, we should be different from the world
around us. In the Gospels, Jesus constantly commands us to have faith
and rebukes those who do not have faith. The writer of Hebrews tells
us that we cannot please God if we do not have faith. In Galatians, Paul
instructs us to live by faith. Faith is a high priority to God. Yet, so many
times we refuse to put our faith and trust in Him and instead trust in our
own ability to see what the future holds. We trust our own finite knowl
edge and forget that God, in His infinite wisdom, has plans for our
good and not for our evil. When we place our faith in God, we trade
stress and worry for peace. Our eyes cannot see what lies ahead,
but we trust that God does and He knows what’s best for
us. Though the road ahead is dark and winding, we
rest our hands in those of the Good Shepherd,
who leads us on. JUST WAIT
AND SEE.
