ing a teacher. God has truly blessed her with the ability

to communicate clearly with children. Sara surrounds

herself with children whether it is through teaching in

junior church, helping

said Greg Routhier.

Sara Estrella has dreamed about being a teacher ever since she

was a littie girl. She said, "It probably all began when I

played 'school' with my little brother, Chris, and I pre­

tended to be the teacher." Sara’s decision to be an el­

ementary education major did not come right away.

Nearing her freshman year of college, Sara felt as if

the Lord was leading her towards a career in marketing.

When she realized Clearwater did not offer this major,

she wondered if this was the place for her. Her decision

to stay and major in Elementary Education was made after

much prayer. Her friend since high school, Yewon Ryu said, "She

isn't just smart; she works very hard. Not only is she smart and dili­

gent, but she has an obvious gift for teaching children. I have seen her

patiently teach kids, and I’ve seen her get right down to their level and

have fun with them." Sara has now completed two internships and

next semester will be a full-time student teacher. Sara said, " I plan to

graduate in May, get married exacdy a week later to Gregory Routhier,

(whom I have known since elementary school and loved since our re­

uniting at college), and then start teaching in Pinellas County, Florida,

in the faU."
