Kathy Grimes, a senior history major, has quite the

story to tell. Kathy graduated from Bob Jones Uni­

versity with a degree in Humanities and soon af­

terward enrolled into graduate classes. While filing

her paperwork, the institution she was planning

on attending noticed that her degree was not ac­

credited. They told her that they could not admit

her. Kathy said, "I tried every route possible to see if

they would allow me to take classes. I explained that I

received an excellent education at BJU. I offered to get a let­

ter from the President, or from the Registrar, but they said that there

were no circumstances under which they would accept the degree."

It was then that Kathy decided to pursue a second Bachelor's degree

in history at Clearwater. Kathy knew of friends and family who had

attended the college, and her sister Tracey was also to be a student.
