Every year seems the same. Summer’s
lazy days end and the academic year
begins. As we plunge into learning new
material, we find that the lessons seem
harder than the years before, and our
lives, more complicated. Some of us
decide the extra effort is not worth all
the early mornings, busy days, and late
nights. However, others of us look be
yond our present struggles to the fu
ture where we see ourselves accepting
a diploma. No one promised that get
ting to that point would be easy.
Sometimes, we lose hope and just want
to quit. But God has given us encour
agement from His Word to help us per
severe. Isaiah 26:3 states “Thou wilt
keep him in perfect peace, whose mind
is stayed on thee: because he trusteth
in thee.” This verse tells us that all we
have to do is keep our minds set on
Christ alone and trust in His Word. He
will give us the peace and strength to
get through our classes and succeed.
