Roll up

/ y o u can't imagine the things
I we learned," stated junior
Chris Callahan.
Health Occupations, a class
designed for students preparing for
a health career, helped students
decide which field they'd like to
go into. Callahan estimated that
three-fourths of the class would go
into a health-related career.
Students learned everything
from taking temperatures and
giving bed baths to becoming
certified in cardio-pulmonary
resusitation (CPR).
The Bloodmobile, which Health
Occupations co-sponsored with
the Red Cross, gave the students a
chance to use some of the skills
they had learned in class.
The class also had several guest
speakers in the related fields.
"The thing I probably liked most
about the class would be the
variety of things we do. It rarely
gets boring," said Callahan.
Read the fine print. Red Cross volunteer
hands senior Sue Bentley her pamphlet on
giving blood.
Taking a break after giving blood are p.e.
teacher John Osborne and seniors Desiree
Runnels and John Reider.
