the Roncalli Invitational January 30.
Juniors Steve Hoing, Vic
Berkland, and Darin Ohnstad each
gained first place in their weight
classes.
Ohnstad also won Metro January
15-16 in his weight class.
"Freshman and jv wrestling are a
lot different than varsity," said
freshman Scott Radicia, but his
inexperience did not seem
apparent as he finished third at
districts in the 105 weight class. He
was the first freshman in Ralston
history to make state.
Senior Larry Kohler, who injured
ligaments in his knee during a
December wrestling meet, kept in
shape by lifting weights.
Kohler finished second in the
state wrestling meet at UNL
February 18-20.
Earning a third-place finish at the
state meet was Ohnstad; Senior Bill
Holloway finished sixth.
"Holloway did a tremendous job
in finishing sixth," said coach Jim
McGrath. "He was able to beat
two people who had beaten him m m m m
before."
