                 ecuring their first
              S championship trophy of the
            season, the varsity wrestlers won
            the Roncalli Invitational January 30.
              Juniors Steve Hoing, Vic
            Berkland, and Darin Ohnstad each
gained first place in their weight
            classes.
              Ohnstad also won Metro January
            15-16 in his weight class.
"Freshman and jv wrestling are a
            lot different than varsity," said
            freshman Scott Radicia, but his
            inexperience did not seem
apparent as he finished third at
districts in the 105 weight class. He
was the first freshman in Ralston
            history to make state.
               Senior Larry Kohler, who injured
ligaments in his knee during a
            December wrestling meet, kept in
             shape by lifting weights.
               Kohler finished second in the
             state wrestling meet at UNL
             February 18-20.
Earning a third-place finish at the
state meet was Ohnstad; Senior Bill
             Holloway finished sixth.
               "Holloway did a tremendous job
in finishing sixth," said coach Jim
McGrath. "He was able to beat
two people who had beaten him m m m m
             before."

Taking a closer look at the situation, the ref
eree watches as junior Darin Ohnstad has
Omaha Westside's Jeff Netsch in trouble dur
ing the state wrestling meet in Lincoln.
Trying to score a take down, junior Tom Ca-
valieri wrestles against his Millard South op
            ponent.
