The 2006 track and field season will be looked back on as a great year of
effort. They used great effort and ended up with a second place finish in the RCC
meet at Skutt high school and a third place finish at District. During the year, two
records were set. The 4x100 relay team of Matt Havelka, Grady Hastings, Chris
Hennings, and Jason Paczkowski set a record at 43.8 seconds and also qualified for
state. Other state qualifiers this year were, Matt Havelka in the 200m run, Brett
Jorgensen in the triple jump, and the 4x400m relay with Ray Russell, Octavion A
Richardson, Trent Czerwinski, and Chris Hennings. The medal winners at state O
were Jason Paczkowski with 2nd in the 110m HH, Grady Hastings with 6th in the U
triple jump and Chris Hennings with 5th in the 300m hurdles. The team finished U
|if it wasn’t for head coach Gary Dubbs who spent his last year coaching track
tied for 16th with 11 points. This season wouldn’t have made such a great impact U
’and retired at the end of the year. Now the once known “Ram Relays” is now the t
|“Gary Dubbs Ram Relays” in honor of him. There is a great track team returning 1
for next year and everybody is looking forward to seeing their success. l
