George Chappell came to Moses Brown in 1952.
George, a music lover at heart, has a collection of
over 150 popular records, the better part of which
can be heard all over one end of the building. He
claims he has several records capable of cracking
even the finest mirror. A talented distance runner,
he has been after Mr. Howe to install a metal rabbit
on the school’s cross country course to help him
make better time.

In the year 1949, the familiar cry of "Bull Tickey”
first rang through the corridors of Moses Brown, as
the son of "M’Dad” first entered school. During
eighth period, Dick can be seen calculating on his
circular slide rule the exact number of seconds it will
take him to swim one hundred laps, play nine holes,
finish his ladder match, or pick up his sister at Lin
coln.
