VARSITY FOOTBALL
The 1974 varsity football season was one of hope
and disappointment. The potential for an excellent
season was there. The Panthers started well, going
4-0 before suffering their first defeat at John Car-
roll. M istakes at crucial moments, a sputtering
offense, and some significant penalties contributed
to a five-game losing streak. The team came to life,
however, by whipping Hollywood Christian 47-6 in
the Homecoming finale.
