Where Love
The Ram tennis team had a season filled with new players, rainy weather and gold
medals. With only one returning letter-winner and only two seniors, Coach Kinney had a
lot of rebuilding to do which he did. Because of his JV players moving up to Varsity, Coach
Baldwin had the same problem but also pulled it off nicely. Here’s what Sophomore Rachel
Shively and Junior Lynn Batenhorst had to say about the season:
On the season:
Shively: “Our season was all right. We had some wins and some losses.”
Batenhorst: “Overall, I had a fairly successful season because of my coach and the team's
positive attitude.”
Junior On the team’s performance:
Shively: “We did pretty well, second at the Ram Invite. I only won against Skutt.”
Batenhorst: “My team performed well especially since six out of seven players were
Varsity playing Varsity for the first time.”
