Gave Our
The Ram cross country team had a very successful year with the boys finish
ing 5th in State and girls placing 6th. “This makes the 8th time for girls and
7th for boys in the last nine years that the Ralston Cross Country Teams have
been in the top 10 at State,” according to Coach Wallerstedt. This is what team
member Sophomore Natalya Shannon had to say:
On cross country:
Shannon: “I really like to run and have the success.”
On the team’s performance:
Shannon: “Okay. We are really young but we all gave our best efforts.”

Freshman Matt Korgie was
one of three freshmen who
ran Varsity every race except
for Districts. “ One particular
moment that sticks out in my
mind is when we won Dis
tricts. the person that sticks
out is Masa Niiya, who did the
best on our team in every
race. Niiya was also a very
kind and nice person, and I
looked up to hm as a role
model." photo by SARA
