Four juniors headed to Boys and Girls State held in Lincoln June 4-10.
Boys and Girls State is all about Nebraska government, according to Pat Wolfe,
Peg Luebbert, Chris Sandquist and Amy Krobot, Ralston’s representatives.
Luebbert said she didn’t know that much about Girls and Boys State before she
went. “I guess you can say I jumped in with both feet first.” Luebbert did say she
looked forward to attending, and since she said she had no idea what she wanted to
do after high school, she felt this might help give her an idea.
All representatives prepared for State by reading a Nebraska government manual
provided by the American Legion Auxiliary. According to Luebbert, all representa
tives took a 50-question quiz over Nebraska government while in Lincoln.
