Delegates will firstly note that this year, because of Covid constraints, we are holding a hybrid conference in which our
overseas speakers and two in Australia will be giving virtual presentations. It should also be noted that these are in the
minority and, as you will see in your pocket programme, no one session contains two virtual presentations. Our speakers

will be available online for questions at the close of each paper.

With regards to the programme, delegates will note that there are two keynote speakers from State Geological Surveys. At
the beginning of each day, they will be presenting the geological framework of two important emerging or expanding gold
provinces, Central Victoria and the Paterson Province here in Western Australia. These keynotes will be followed by

presentations on exciting greenfields discoveries within these two provinces.

A totally new style of mineralisation discovered at Hemi will undoubtedly transform the future of Western Australia’s Pilbara
region as a gold producing province and we look forward to the unveiling of its discovery story.
