Magma, Arizona – Sulphide Zonation





                                                                                                                                     Sulphides are zoned from

                                                                                                                                     arsenical copper sulphides


                                                                                                                                     typical of high-sulphidation


                                                                                                                                     mineralisation through

                                                                                                                                     intermediate sulphidation to low


                                                                                                                                     sulphidation.


                                                                                                                                     Gold has an affinity with the


                                                                                                                                     distribution of bornite.


                                                                                                                                     It should be noted that the high-


                                                                                                                                     / low-sulphidation mineralogy

                                                                                                                                     should not be taken to imply a


                                                                                                                                     degree of wall-rock reaction


                                                                                                                                     common to those epithermal

                                                                                                                                     deposit styles.
