PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR GAS TAX GROWS
The Mineta Transportation Institute has been collecting data on the public’s support for gas and mileage
taxes for the past 8 years. The latest survey results show that a majority of Americans would support higher
taxes for transportation under certain conditions and that support has been growing since 2010.
