Salute to veterans
ATA members observe Veterans Day, trucking style
By ATR staff
On Veterans Day, November 11,
the nation recognized men and women
who have served in the armed forces,
and Arkansas Trucking Association
asked its members how you observe the
holiday in the trucking industry.
Transco Lines, Inc., carrier out of
Russellville, Ark., proudly released three
new trucks to their fleets just weeks
before Veterans Day. Each Volvo truck is
wrapped in art to honor different mili-
tary branches, U.S. Air Force, Marine
Corps, and Navy, with the Army-
themed truck due out in 2015.
Anne Marie Hojnack, Director of
Capacity Development, said Transco
Line’s reason for introducing the new Transco Lines, Inc. Navy truck
trucks was simple: “honor and respect.”
TA /Petro also celebrated veterans
in their locations across the state. All
veterans with CDL licenses at TA in
Earle, Ark., TA in Prescott, Ark. and
Petro in North Little Rock, Ark. were
offered free meals in the stations’ Iron TA of Prescott, Ark.
Skillet and Country Pride restaurants. TA of Earl, Ark. Manager John Management thanking veteran
