sUmmer DIesel forecasT
The price of gasoline in Arkansas has jumped 14 cents in the past month, and
motorists will see little relief on average this summer when prices are expected to
soften only slightly, according to the U.S. Energy and Information Administration.
The national average price of a gallon of gasoline will be $3.57 from now until
September, down about a penny from the current national average.
Non-OPEC supply growth expected to outpace world consumption growth and
keep oil prices from rising. Brent crude oil prices expected to average $105 per bar-
rel this summer compared with $107 per barrel last summer. Diesel fuel prices also
fall slightly from an average $3.89 per gallon last summer to $3.87 per gallon this
summer.
