FELICITATION Day

      A felicitation ceremony was held on 20 July 2019, to honour the toppers of Class X and XII in CBSE
      Examinations. Priyanshi Banerjee of Humanities Streams scored 98.6 percent marks to be the school

      topper. She has scored a perfect 100 in  Political Science, Geography and Painting. Harsh Singh of

      Commerce Stream secured the second position by scoring 98.2% and Ishi Ribhu of Science Stream

      secured the third position by scoring 98 %. The second position in Science Stream has been secured by
      Sulagna Dash who scored 95%  while Snayga C.R and Agmendu Bhati shared the third position with

      94.6%.respectively. The second and third position in Commerce Stream has been secured by Akanksha

      Thakur with 97% and Vikrant Chauhan with 95.4% respectively. The second position in Humanities
      stream has been secured by Siddharth Yadav scoring 96.8% and Prachi Singh has secured the third

      position by scoring 96.4 %.




      Bhavika Choudhary of Class X scored 98.4% to secure the first position, she also won the Muivah
      Award which is awarded to the best all-rounder in Class X. Spriha Upadhyay, Mansi Pandey and

      Malya Singh shared the second position scoring 98%, while Varnika Mathur and Aditya Joshi scored

      97.8 % and shared the third position. The ceremony began with a hymn by the Western Music Choir to
      invoke the blessings of the Almighty. Thereafter Principal Dr. Mary Thomas presented the students

      with mementos and certificates for their meritorious performance. Speaking on the occasion, Principal

      Ma’am addressed the gathering by praising the students for their excellent academic scores and urged
      them to always remember the ideals they have imbibed at Somerville School which will help them etch

      a life embellished with success. She asserted that there was no shortcut to success and that one has to

      be independent and work hard to achieve their goals. Vice Principal, Ms. Monisha Claudius, delivered
      the vote of thanks. She motivated the students to remain optimistic and become good human beings.
