#CAP Scholarship Workshops in Our Second Semester

#CAP has been off to a great start in 2022! We have had so far two wonderful workshops assisting
students with understanding the importance of scholarships and assisting them in understanding the
application process of applying for scholarships. On our January 18, 2022 workshop our scholars were
given access to a scholarship Google Classroom created by Ms. Renita Rich-Brenn, Founder of
Preparing for College 101.

On February 22, 2022 they were able to learn about scholarships from Mrs. Lisa Wiseman from
Bayport Credit Union, along with hearing great tips of applying for scholarships from new Sorors of
Nu Epsilon Chapter of Christopher Newport University. Lastly the scholars were able to learn about
a variety of scholarships and how to track scholarships with a template from the Workbook entitled
College Planning Strategies I Wish Someone Had Told Me written by our Soror Dr. Christie
Chamblis Murray, author, and co-founder of Invest N Others LLC.
