The philosophy of the RIS (Rapid Installation Systems)
design process is to bring to the market cable management
ranges that are quick to install, use fewer components than
their conventional counterparts and offer environmental
benefits too (via reduced packaging and shipping when
being delivered from stock to the work-face).

In a market place where efficiency of time is imperative, cable
management systems which are quick and easy to fit can provide a real
commercial advantage to the installer.

UniKlip®

The UniKlip® system for cable tray offers light, medium and heavy duty
profiles in pre-galvanised mild steel to BS EN 10346:2009.

Available in widths from 50mm up to and including 600mm the system
conforms to BS EN 61537:2007 meeting all performance and earth
continuity requirements.

UniKlip® is a unique system that negates the need for time consuming
nuts and bolts enabling it to be installed 3 times faster than traditional
cable tray systems.

To ensure that the full benefits of the system are available to installers,
Unitrunk now supplies tray couplers with the “Klips” attached and with a
full range of accessories and unique product features such as the
adjustable tray extensions, site cutting can be eliminated completely.

Uniklip® therefore provides the ultimate cable tray solution.

Accountability and confidence are important to Unitrunk which is why, to
support the claims of the speed at which Uniklip® can be installed, an
Installation Cost Calculator has been developed

Unitrunk are committed to the installer deriving the greatest benefit from
using UniKlip® and has tested and evaluated that UniKlip® is 3 times
faster to install than traditional cable tray systems. By applying this 3x
factor to the rates published in the Luckins Electrical Installation Times,
we can fully substantiate this statement.

In the calculator, the installer inserts the quantities of cable tray from a
project and can see at a glance the time saving that using UniKlip® offers.
Inserting an hourly rate for the labour into the calculator provides this
saving as monetary value.

EasyConnect Basket

Adding further innovation to the RIS range is EasyConnect Basket. The
unique patented design allows more cable basket to be installed with
confidence in a shorter period of time.

There is no requirement for additional components or special tools to join
lengths of basket together and its innovative design reduces the number
of components necessary yet still meets all the earth continuity
requirements of BS EN 61537:2007.

With a full range of accessories and brackets for high level, underfloor
or wall mounting, EasyConnect provides a quality solution to meet your
cable basket needs.

A further benefit of the EasyConnect system comes with the 50mm wide
product which is manufactured with two wires on the base to allow for
fixing directly to channel support systems.

EasyConnect is manufactured in 3000mm lengths, which makes it ideal
for use on building service modules as it eliminates the problem of “creep”
which is common to other basket systems.

Available as standard in 30mm, 60mm and 100mm depths and widths
from 50mm to 600mm (other sizes are available on request).

Finishes available are:

• Electro-zinc ISO 4520:1981

• Hot Dipped Galvanised ISO 1461

• Stainless Steel 3041 & 3161 (Marine Grade)
Powder coating and epoxy coating are also available on request.
