Marinette County is located in the northeastern part of the beautiful state of
Wisconsin, against the shores of the Green Bay and bordering the Upper Penin-
sula of the state of Michigan. The county seat is Marinette, which now includes
the former independent village of Menekaunee as a neighborhood. Marinette
County is also a part of the Marinette, WI–MI Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The county is full of many beautiful parks and surrounding areas to spend hiking,
cross-country skiing, biking, ATV and snowmobiling. There are over 23,000 acres
of county forest for hunting and exploring. There is plenty of inland waters that
include many lakes and streams for canoeing, kayaking and fishing lovers. There
are many other recreational acitivities and facilites as well. Anyone looking to
relocate or just visit will have much to learn and explore during their stay.
