Jefferson County is located in the eastern portion of the state of Missouri and is
the sixth-most populous county in the state. Its county seat is Hillsboro while the
largest city is Arnold. The county was officially organized in 1818 and named in
honor of former president Thomas Jefferson. It is a part of the St. Louis Metro-
politan Statistical Area and encompasses many of the city's southern suburbs.
There is plenty to see and do here in the Jefferson County Area. Find some
