                      influence and dedication throughout
                      the course and clubhouse. Heritage
Oaks strives to be a good neighbor to
the residents of Harrisonburg, and they
demonstrate this in one way by being
one of only two courses certified as
Virginia Green. This means they use
green practices to maintain the course

are Heritage Oaks’ ecological endeavors. More than 85 species
of birds reside here. These species include the loggerhead
shrike who is partial to locust trees and a black hooded heron
that calls the pond on number eight home. As you play your
round, you’ll notice nearly 100 birdhouses all around the
course where our feathered friends make their habitats.

The First Tee of Harrisonburg, a youth program that develops both golf and life
skills is also located here and is well used by the youth of the Harrisonburg area
and beyond. No wonder Heritage Oaks receives honors as one of the best courses in
the entire Shenandoah Valley for value and fun.
