Scholarship Impact

Our educational scholarship funds support Washington, D.C. high school

graduates to continue their education at Historically Black Colleges and
Universities (HBCU). Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate

academic excellence, leadership skills and community service. A minimum of four
$2,000 scholarships are awarded annually to students who have been accepted

and plan to attend an HBCU.

In addition to awarding scholarships to high school seniors, our scholarship funds
also provide recipients with funding for an additional three years at $1,000 per

year provided the recipient meets the qualifications. Most recipients requesting
the continuing fund maintain a 2.5 or higher grade point average.
