          SW 470    Social Work Practice in Mental Health
                                                                            1 Term; 2 Credits
              This course aims to equip social work students with basic knowledge and understanding
          of mental health services and practices. The history of mental health practice evolving from a
          medical to psychosocial rehabilitation paradigm and the major types of mental health illness
          including  schizophrenia,  mood  and  anxiety  disorders  as  well  as  the  co-morbidity  between
          substance  abuse  and  mental  illness  will  be  covered  in  this  course.  Practice  concepts  and
          application of different models will also be taught.

          SW 471-2    Fieldwork IV & V
                                                                           2 Terms; 8 Credits

          SW 480    Social Work Management
                                                                            1 Term; 3 Credits
              This course is designed to provide students with  basic knowledge and skills in social
          service  organization  administration.  The  course  will  examine  the  theories,  models  of  man-
          agement in the social service, non-profit organization context. Administrative skills, leadership
          in  the  social  service  arena  and  the  decision  making  process  will  be  examined.  Human
          resource management, strategic planning, risk management, and financial issues related to
          the social service sector will also be presented and analysed.
