(9) There are four grade levels, as shown in the figure below;

(6) Publication in an Academic Journal
Within the period of three years, with a maximum of five years of the DBA programme, DBA
students are required to publish two research articles derived from parts of their Thesis as a
compulsory graduation requirement.
DBA students must be the author of these two research articles. As the author, the DBA student
should indentify themself in the form of an explanatory note, as a “DBA candidate, Faculty of
Management Science, Silpakorn University, Thailand”. It is possible that additional authors
may be included in these articles. For this case, the DBA student is required to submit to MSSU
an official letter from the head of authorship or group leader, to inform of the actual
contributions, and in which particular parts of the publication.
Both articles should be published in recognized national or international journals according to
the criteria of the Announcement of Office of the Higher Education Commission on
Dissemination of Academic Papers.
Recognized journals are listed in the databases listed below;
Approved Academic journal are listed in the following Databases
International level
Scopus, ERIC, MathSciNet, Pubmed, JSTOR, Project Muse, and Web of Science
(in SCIE, SSCI and AHCI only)
National level
Thai Journal Citation Index- TCI (Tier 1 and Teir 2)
Remark:
6.1 MSSU will immediately inform HSLU-W if there are any changes to the lists of approved
academic journals prescribed by Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC),
Thailand.
