WREATHS OF REMEMBRANCE
Both our Do it Best staff and our member-owned stores were
focused on giving back this holiday season. Wreaths Across
America conducted a wreath laying ceremony in national cemeteries across
the country to remember and honor our fallen soldiers. Team members
from our Montgomery warehouse helped support the cause by providing
transportation for the wreaths from Columbia, ME to Washington Crossing
National Cemetery in Newton, PA. Meanwhile, Do it Best member-owned
Taylor's Do it Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia participated in the event
and helped lay wreaths through a community fundraiser.
Army veteran and Montgomery delivery driver Pete Mango was present for the
ceremony. President Emeritus Bob Taylor and his family helped lay wreaths.
HELPING STUDENTS ACHIEVE MORE
Seven years ago, Logistics Operations Manager Brian Etzler was approached about volunteering with Junior
Achievement. He didn’t really know what he committed to at the time, but the experience has been very rewarding.
Brian teaches economics lessons to high school seniors and loves being able to provide them real-world applications for the material
they’re learning. “It’s rewarding to be able to use my skills in a different capacity and see the students’ faces when they understand
something,” says Brian.
