Jalankan eksperimen dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah berikut:
Carry out the experiment by using the following procedures:
1. Susun radas seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam Rajah 1.
Set up apparatus as shown in Diagram 1.
2. Gantungkan penggantung jisim berslot yang berjisim 50.0 g pada hujung bebas spring itu.
Hang the 50.0 g slotted weight hanger at the end of the spring.
3. Lekatkan pin optik di bahagian bawah penggantung tersebut menggunakan pita selofan untuk dijadikan sebagai
penunjuk.
Stick the optical pin at the bottom of the hanger by using the tape to act as a pointer.

4. Apitkan pembaris meter secara tegak dengan pengapit kaki retort 2.
Clamp a meter ruler vertically using retort stand 2.

5. Catatkan bacaan, l , pada pembaris itu.

6. Tambahkan jisim berslot 50.0 g supaya jumlah jisim berslot, m, pada spring ialah 100.0 g.

Increase the slotted weight 50.0 g so that the total slotted weight, m, at the spring is 100.0 g.
Record the reading, l, shown by the pointer on the meter ruler.
8. Sesarkan jisim berslot itu ke bawah sedikit dan lepaskannya supaya spring dapat berayun bebas secara tegak.
Displace the slotted weight slightly and release it so that it will freely oscillates vertically.
9. Rekodkan masa, t, untuk 20 ayunan lengkap.
Record the time taken, t, for 20 complete oscillations.

10. Hitungkan tempoh ayunan, T, menggunakan rumus, T = .

Calculate the period of oscillation, T, by using the formula, T = .

11. Ulang langkah 6 hingga 10 dengan menggunakan jumlah jisim berslot, m = 150.0 g, 200.0 g, 250.0 g dan
300.0 g.
Repeat procedures 6 to 10 by using total slotted weight, m = 150.0 g, 200.0 g, 250.0 g and 300.0 g.
12. Berdasarkan eksperimen yang telah dijalankan;
