Àimàn, nǐ yào qù nǎlǐ？

艾曼, 你要去哪里？
Aiman, where are you going?

Wǒ yào qù shāngchǎng。

我要去商场。
I am going to the mall.

Nǐ zìjǐ kāi chē qù ma？

你自己开车去吗?
Are you going by car yourself?

Bù, tāmen huì kāi chē lái jiē wǒ。

不，他们会开车来接我。
No, they will come get me by car.

The next most commonly used type of pronoun in Chinese is the demonstrative
pronoun. This includes words such as “this,” “that,” “these,” and “those.” The usage of
Chinese demonstrative pronouns is very similar to that in English.
