                                               RESOLUTION




      Sponsors – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Peoples Republic of China,

      Republic of South Africa, Republic of India, Republic of Singapore, Islamic
      Republic of Pakistan

       Signatories- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, People’s Republic of China, Republic of South

      Africa, Republic of India, Republic of Singapore, Islamic Republic of Pakistan,
      Mexico, Ukraine

       Topic – Preventing spillover violence in civil conflict; international illicit small arms

      production and distribution
       ● AFFIRMING that this treaty is subject to modifications in the future and will be

      calling a Committee after predefined intervals;
      ● Recognizing the importance of past treaties and keeping in mind their points;

      ● ADAPTING to the recent changes in the technology of small arms and light weapons;

      ● RECOMMENDS measures to increase the security of its member nations;
      ● RECOGNIZING the important role that civil society organizations play, by raising

      public awareness, in efforts to curb the illicit traffic in small arms and light;
      ● EXPECTING nations to better mark and trace SALWs to prevent them reaching the

      illegal market;

      ●CONSIDERS  the 2001 PLAN OF ACTION, The un resolution 61/89, MOSAIC and the
      ITI,

      The Arms Trade Treaty of

      2013;
       Emphasizing  the need to educate community members about small arms and light

      weapons;

          URGES  the  member  nations  to  establish  special  committees  to  be  established  at
      global and national

        levels which would be in contact and deliberation with the United Nations
      CALLS UPON the need for a law to be made to prevent any country to interfere with

      foreign countries internal

       matter unless deliberated to the un. Regarding arms and ammunitions;
                                               AFFIRMING the need for revising of cyber laws to the

      maximum  extent  a  country  can  to  prevent  access  to  sites  providing  room  for  illegal
      arms trade;

       URGES member nations to increase their stockpile security and protect government

      arsenal better.
