Complex Sentence (ประโยคใจความซอน) คือ ประโยค Simple Sentence มา
รวมกัน โดยใชคําเชื่อมที่ไมใชกลุมคําของ and, but, or, so เชน when, while, until, as soon as, ...

โดยปกติประกอบดวย ประโยค 2 ประโยค คือ
1. Main clause (Independent clause) คือ ประโยคที่อยูลําพัง โดยมีความหมาย

ครบถวนในตัวเองได

2. Subordinate clause (Dependent clause) คือ ประโยคที่อยูลําพังแลวความหมาย

จะไมครบถวน ปกติแลว Subordinate clause มักเปนประโยคที่อยูหลัง/กับคําเชอมตาง ๆ ทํา

หนาที่เหมือน adverb, adjective, noun ซึ่งเรียกวาประโยค adverb clause, adjective clause

หรือ noun clause

เชน She is very lazy. This is certain.

= It is certain that he is very lazy.

This is the postman. The postman brings us letter every day.

= This is the postman, who brings us letter every day.
