เปนอะไร เชน
I, you, he, she, it, we, they เปนคําสรรพนามในรูปประธาน (Subject)
me, her, him, them, our เปนคําสรรพนามในรปกรรม (Object)

สรรพนามที่ใชแทนบุคคลหรือสิ่งของในการพูดสนทนา มี 3 บุรุษคือ
บุรุษที่ 1 ไดแกตัวผูพูด I, we
