NC Computing with Digital Media
SCQF level 6
This course is aimed at students who want
to develop their existing skills in IT and
digital media. If you have experience of
working with digital applications this course
could help you progress onto a career path
in the computing sector.
As part of this course, you will work with
DSLR cameras, graphics tablets, HMD's,
Smartphones, 3D Capture and network
hosting solutions. You will also be introduced
to contemporary applications and
approaches to create everything from mobile
games to broadcast news.

will be challenged, inspired, and above
all supported.
We continue to engage with XpoNorth,
Scotland's Leading Creative and Digital
Industries festival. This gives our students
exposure to the cutting edge of tech and
creative development - a great opportunity
to see what’s available in the work market.

placements - some of which are commercial.

Key Information
Entry requirements
You should have achieved an NC in
Computing with Digital Media SCQF level 5
or Higher Computing Science or a minimum
of 3 relevant National 5 or equivalent
qualifications (ideally in art/graphic
communication and math/computing).
You will attend an interview.
What next?
This qualification provides an ideal skillset to
go directly into employment with a small to
medium sized business, or as a starting
point for a career in a larger organisation.
Opportunities for progression to further
study include our HNC in Computing or HNC
in Digital Design and Web Development.
