The students of Guru Nanak College have proved that ‘Talent’ is ‘Beyond
Academics’ too. The repeated feats and achievements of our students outside the
college shows that academics isn’t always the only way to be prosperous in life. This sets
a benchmark for all students who give up on their dreams and passion just to keep up with
academics. It also delivers a message across to the education system that life exists beyond degrees too.
Some students aren’t meant to be caged within the columns of a mark-sheets and they must be given a fair
opportunity to explore their talents and give life to their dreams.

KURME
r. Abhishek Kurme, also known as the ‘Beat Slayer’! Started Beat-
videos, Abhishek performed at more than 36 colleges during his second year
and started being invited as a Judge in few colleges in his third year,. In 2017,
he worked with Rani Mukherjee for a title track of ‘Hichki’ and also was
featured in MTV Indies with his group: 7 Bantaiz. Abhishek is now a part of
India’s first biggest band “The casteless collective” initiated by Indian Director
and Filmmaker P.A Ranjith.
Abhishek set a benchmark when he worked with the one and only Rajnikanth
in the movie “Kaala” which was directed by P.A. Ranjith. He has also recently worked with Bollywood’s most
energetic superstar Ranveer Singh in his upcoming film “Gully Boy” which will be releasing in 2019. Abhishek has
become a role model for his juniors, an inspiration to the college students and has proved that a combination of
hard work and talent can drift you head on towards success.
Musaddique
Sayyed
usaddique Sayyed entered Guru Nanak College as a shy and introvert
Mteen and went on to make a name for himself and the college in various
inter collegiate competitions.
Having won more than 10 Awards in Literary Arts Competition at
Intercollegiate levels and Cultural Competitions he won the 3rd Prize in
Story Telling at University Zonal Level.
He was the Chairperson of ‘Time Travel’ – A fest organized in the college
which got featured in Maharashtra Times. He was the Hindi Content writer
for SYNERGY 16-17 which won the Best magazine award amongst 70 colleges in Mumbai.
He also headed the ‘Lots Of Learning (LOL)’ committee that organized many Silver Lecture series in the college.
Very Soon he will be working with ‘All India Radio’ where he will be presenting his poems. The College wishes
