Last year saw the growth of a partnership between
Gardens Commercial High School (GCHS) and Herzlia High

School. GCHS operates a feeding scheme for 45 of their
students, mostly funded by some of the teachers and
pupils, who donate towards the scheme by giving of their

time or financially. Last year we assisted by providing soup
in winter and sandwiches in summer.

This year we have provided lunch twice a week for those

pupils in need. An official committee has been formed to
plan and organise the process.

Grade 11 pupil, Alexandra Showell is the Head of the
Committee and has made good progress this year

ensuring its success. Every Tuesday and Thursday, Herzlia
students in their mentor groups, make, package and

deliver 45 sandwiches to Gardens Commercial High
School, feeding those who would otherwise not have a
meal. This committee thanks those who have helped, and

encourages others to join and take action.
