MY VISIT TO A HISTORICAL PLACE – RED FORT
Five years ago, when I was five year old. Me and my family
went to Delhi for visiting the historical places like – Red Fort,
India Gate, Qutub Minar, Shahi Jama Masjid, Humayun’s
Tomb, etc. First, we went to the Red Fort also called Lal
Quila a monument built in 1638 that rises 33 meters (108 ft)
above old Delhi. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah
Jahan. The fort is located in what is now the centre of Delhi,
India. Delhi’s famous Red Fort is known by that name
because of the red stone which it is made of.
th
Luckily, we went there on 15 of August, Independence Day.
It was very crowded. The fort was decorated very beautifully
with the tricolour flags and garlands with tricolour deep
saffron, white and dark green respectively. I was really feeling
very happy. Then, I saw some people doing parade. After that
we went to Meena Bazar, Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Moti
Masjid, Historical Museum, etc. It was a very entertaining as
well as informative trip.
