THE MAN OF SYMPATHY
Once upon a time, there was a residence, named as Starline Colony. That
colony consisted of people. Now you might be thinking that it is obvious
for a dwelling place to have people. But people in that colony were
discriminating against others. They at first were to see other’s standard
and then only they would choose to talk anyone else. They didn’t like
poor people. And never had respected them too. They used to show their
standard to the poor people. They used to live in their own ego. In that
colony, some workers were appointed to keep the streets clean. The
workers used to suffer due to the behavior of the residents. And there
were strict instruction made by the people that the workers families
could not live in that colony and also the workers won’t be allowed to
live here. The poor always had to listen demeaning words from the
colony’s residents. There was an old man whose duty was to sweep the
roads. He was a wise person. But yet, nobody felt good to talk to him
because of their ego. The people used to scold him unnecessarily and
tried to humiliate him. But the old man including workers, just smiled
and started working. Their salary was around 400-450 rupees per
month. One night, around 12:30 pm.
The old man noticed some weird sound coming from the gate. He went
there and saw some thieves searching for their loot. Luckily the old man
saw them. He silently called the police. But he thought that there was
not much time to wait for the police. The thieves were rushing towards
the house. In that colony, near every house, there was a pit to bury
biodegradable things. The old man cleverly opened the pit and when the
thieves came around the pit, he pushed them in the pit and threw a
bucket full of water in them so that they can’t climb up. And police also
reached there and saluted the old man for his wisdom. Then the
residents also felt sorry for their nature and confessed their mistake in
front of him. Then the secretory not only gave them the permission to
live in the colony, but also gave all facilities to them. Then all lived
happily. So the moral is “to be equal to everyone and never
discriminate.”
