                               HELLO

                         - Tanyapat (Plern) Chaiseri -
                                                          Hello.
                                                 A common word,
                                           been used so often that
                                         it seems to deliver nothing
                                                          at all.
                                                       But hello,
                                   I said to the girl behind the glass
                              with dancing dimples and soaring smiles:
                               Can I get a ticket to anywhere please?
        She laughs.
                                                      It seems,
                                seems like the ticket was misprinted;
                                           because when I got off,
                                        it seems like I got nowhere,
                                                   not anywhere.
                                                       So hello,
                                           I said on the same spot.
                                       Tap tap; on that veil of glass.
                                 But where's the glass? Never mind,
                                for now I see her, clearer than glass;
                                                  clear as she is.
                                                      And hello,
                       I spoke through the frizzly static of the phone.
                                                If you don’t mind,
                                    let’s say hello in person tonight?
        Okay.
                                                          Hello,
                                              I said on a Tuesday
                    when we marched exactly five rounds round the sun.
           I want to say hello to you every morning til morning is no more.
                                                        Do you?
        . . .
                                                          Hello.
                                                 A common word,
                               delivered something not quite common;
                                            extraordinary in fact:
                                                           You.
