Youth Camp on DRR-CCA

In jumpstarting a people-centered and
participatory style of governance, as well
as ensuring that the youth is well-engaged
and empowered towards Disaster Risk
Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation
(DRR-CCA), the LGA in partnership with
the DILG - Region 8 (Eastern Visayas),
conducted the Youth Engagement
for Sustainability, Welfare, and
Empowerment of Communities Across
the Nation (YES WE CAN!) program.

For three-days, 167 youth representatives
coming from different parts of Eastern
Visayas were capacitated not only to
be empowered and patriotic citizens,
but also to serve as leaders of their
communities.

More importantly, it contributes to the
aspect where the youth can be an active
exponent to the cause of Disaster Risk
Reduction and advocate and take action
against the growing impacts of Climate
Change, especially in their respective
communities.
