LGAMES as way
forward to
automated M&E
LGAMES is a web-based mechanism developed by
the LGA designed to automate the collection and
dissemination of data for the accomplishment and
monitoring reports of the LGA and its partners on the
implementation of programs, projects, and activities.
On March 19, 2021, around 90 LGRRC LGAMES focal
persons and personnel participated and shared their
insights and recommendations for the enhancement of
the LGA Monitoring and Evaluation System (LGAMES).
The system has captured most of the monitoring and
evaluation requirements, however, current users find
the need for further assistance and enhancement of
it to ensure that the reports adhere to the standard
procedures and templates.
Hence, the LGA decided to consult in order to improve
its systems and to ensure the maintenance of quality
standards in reporting program performance indicators,
timeliness, and responsibilities.

In the Philippines, LGUs represent the national
government at the community level. With the ever-
changing landscape on the needs and demands of the
people, LGUs create and implement programs to meet
the gaps for the benefit of their communities’ welfare.
Hence, illustration and replication of strategies have
been potentially beneficial in the long run.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, select LGUs have
incredibly shown worthy-to-be-replicated practices
from the mobile palengke, drive-thru swab test,
maximization of technology use, to the rollout of the
vaccines to the communities. These innovative trends
led to interconnectedness amongst communities
that undoubtedly contributed to the progress of the
country’s COVID-19 response.
The LGA recognizes the efforts of the LGUs and will
continue to foster sharing of innovations and best
practices amongst communities, not only to improve
their capacity for quality and excellent service delivery,
but also to contribute in the pursuit of local recovery
from the pandemic.
