MAKING IT HAPPEN
From Decathlon Aurangabad
It has been an amazing journey where we did our best
to spread the benefits of healthy living by making sports
accessible to more and more Aurangabadkars
I am glad that at the end of this short but rich journey, the
team is very strong, understands the sense behind the
decision for closure and I am confident of their future in
the company in a different location with their set of skills
and an amazing never say die attitude.
Messages from team mates
I was very excited when I was offered
Aurangabad project it was 1stone of its kind (1st
project in tire 3 city) especially in India where
sports doesn’t come in the primary consideration.
On hearing the news of closure, the team was
emotional but at the same time Dhiren and
Abhishek gave us confidence.
Now as we move on I am very confident that my team will
carry the warrior spirit in them and will not hold back to
explore new things and take more risks to achieve something
amazing.

Desire and passion to work and contribute in the
sports sector of my country made me choose
Decathlon over other MNC’s. Aurangabad was
my graduation academy of Decathlon. It made
me get closer to my customer, so close that I tell
them what they need well before they realize it
themselves.
I understand the decision to close the Aurangabad store is
wise and strong. Also, I understood the company’s interest in
the future of its employee’s when I got the offer to take up the
role of Department Manager of Quechua in Whitefield.
