onu Sood, who was last seen in ‘Kung Fu Yoga’, is all set for his next titled
‘Paltan’. Interestingly, the actor has a special request for the director JP Dutta.

SIn the movie under the umbrella of Zee Studios, Sonu will essay the role of a
soldier. The war based film also stars Arjun Rampal, Jackie Shroff, Esha Gupta and
Sonal Chauhan. Since Sonu feels strongly about his character, he has reportedly
requested Dutta to let him keep his costume as he is sentimental about it. And as per
reports, the director has agreed to it too.
Moreover, it’s not just the costume that has got Sonu quite attached. If the reports are
to be believed, then Sonu finds the movie even more special because it has fulfilled

his dream to portray a soldier on the big screen. ‘Paltan’ will see Sonu Sood as a Major
who hails from Rajasthan.
Even from his previous film from 2002, ‘Shaheed-e-Azam’, Sonu preserved his turban
that he donned while essaying the role of Bhagat Singh.
Addressing his obsession to retain memories from his own films, Sonu Sood report-
edly professed that such uniforms have always given him a different kind of high. He
went on to add that his parents would have been very proud of him sporting them
on the big screen. He later concluded by expressing his gratitude to JP Dutta. He
quipped, “I’m really grateful to JP sir for this memento.”
